Getting started
Where do I get tsuin?
On the App Store for iPhone. Other platforms are coming later.
What do I need?
An iPhone running iOS 16.1 or later, a tsuin account (you sign in with Apple), and an internet connection. The app is not designed for iPad.
Why does it ask for my age?
tsuin is for adults. You must be 18 or older, and the app is rated 18+ on the App Store.
Why does it ask for the microphone?
So you can talk to your twin. The mic is press-to-talk: it records only while you hold the button. You can type instead if you prefer.
Why does it ask for the camera or photos?
Only if you choose to give your twin your face. The selfie you take or pick is cropped and stored on your iPhone. It is never uploaded. You can skip this step.
Can I sign in with email or Google?
Not yet. The iPhone app uses Sign in with Apple only. You can hide your email with Apple's private relay if you like.
Talking to your twin
How do I talk to it?
Hold the mic button, speak, let go. Your twin answers in text and, if voice replies are on, out loud. Very short taps are ignored to avoid accidental recordings. Tap Transcript to see the full conversation.
How do I turn the voice off?
Settings > Twin > Voice replies.
It says it doesn't have enough from me yet. Is that a bug?
No. It means your twin has not seen enough of your thinking on that topic to answer in your voice. Teach it: give it an answer or a correction, then ask again.
It showed me helplines instead of answering.
The app does this when a message looks like you might be at risk of harming yourself. Your twin is not a crisis service. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services. If the app got it wrong, carry on and it will answer your next message.
Commit guesses
What are commit guesses?
When a repository you have approved sends a commit, your twin guesses why you made the change. You correct the guess in the Inbox, and your twin learns from the correction.
How do I connect a repository?
The first time a repository sends a commit, the app asks whether your twin may observe it. Nothing is collected until you say yes.
What does my twin see from a repository?
The commit message, a summary, and the diff. In Settings > Commit guesses you can choose a full or trimmed diff.
How do guesses arrive?
Settings > Commit guesses > Delivery lets you choose: instant (open as they arrive), badge (a count on the Inbox tab), or batched (collect and review together).
How do I stop sharing a repository?
Settings > Shared repos > Revoke. Your twin stops observing it and we delete what it collected from that repository.
Teaching your twin
What is in the Teach tab?
Your profile (questions about how you decide, build and communicate), skills (procedures you follow, written as instructions), and Train your twin, which folds everything you have taught into your twin.
Can I feed it old documents, emails or code?
Not from the iPhone app at launch. Teach it by talking, answering profile questions, writing skills, and approving repositories.
Your data
Where is my data stored?
Your selfie and preferences stay on your iPhone. Your account, conversations, answers, skills, commit data and trained twin live on tsuin's servers on Amazon Web Services. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
What happens to my voice recordings?
They are sent to our servers, transcribed, and deleted straight away. We keep the transcript, not the audio. Nobody clones your voice.
Who else sees my data?
Our AI model provider (Google, Gemini API) generates your twin's replies and processes your data during training. ElevenLabs turns your twin's text replies into speech and never receives your voice. Neither trains on your data. See the Privacy Policy, section 5.
Does my data train anyone else's model?
No. Your data trains your twin only.
Can I export my data?
Email hello@tsuin.ai from the address on your account and we will send your transcripts and answers in a usable format. In-app export is coming.
Deleting things
How do I remove my selfie?
Settings > Twin > Remove selfie. Your twin goes back to the orb. The photo is deleted from your iPhone; it was never anywhere else.
How do I delete a repository's data?
Settings > Shared repos > Revoke. See above.
How do I delete my whole account?
Settings > Account > Delete account. This permanently deletes your twin, conversations, recordings, answers, skills and repository data, and disconnects Sign in with Apple. It cannot be undone. Backups and vendor copies clear within 30 days. You can also email hello@tsuin.ai from the address on your account.
Reporting a reply
My twin said something harmful, offensive or wrong.
Long-press the reply and choose Report. Pick a reason (harmful or unsafe, inappropriate or offensive, wrong or misleading, or something else), add a note if you like, and send. A person reviews every report.
Billing
How much does the app cost?
The app is free to download.
I bought something through the App Store and want a refund.
Refunds for App Store purchases go through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot process them ourselves.
Security
I think my account was compromised.
Email hello@tsuin.ai immediately with "security" in the subject line. We will lock the account while we sort it out.
I found a security vulnerability.
Thank you. Email hello@tsuin.ai with "security" in the subject line and give us a reasonable chance to fix it before you publish. We do not take legal action against good-faith researchers.
